The Vision of Abundant Life Christian Center is 

To proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom to all humanity, 

To help bring the reality of the Kingdom on Earth through demonstration and Kingdom living,

And to see Christ personified in the life of every believer. 

Abundant Life Christian Center was founded by Pastor Bruce D. Hooks Sr. and Lady Edna Hooks in 1991.  The ministry began in Bay Minette, Alabama, in a small building, which used to be a television repair shop. Abundant Life Christian Center was called by God to restore the quality of life of individuals and families throughout the city of Bay Minette and the surrounding areas. 

Within a short period of time, God began to gradually add to Abundant Life Christian Center family.  In July of 1998, Pastor Bruce and Lady Edna joined in a covenant relationship with Bishop Levy H. Knox, the Founder of Living Word Christian Center International Ministries in Mobile, Alabama. He became their spiritual covering. 

In the same year of 1998, the Board of Directors agreed to purchase a new location for Abundant Life Christian Center and God supernaturally paid the building off in just seventeen months! 

Abundant Life Christian Center is a church family whose foundation is Christ, “The Chief Corner Stone”.

We believe in the Almighty God who is the creator of the heavens and the earth.

We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, died for the forgiveness of our sins, shed His Precious Blood, was buried and rose again on the third day.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; eternal life of the saved (believers in Jesus Christ) and the eternal punishment of the unsaved (non-believers In Jesus Christ).

The Mission of Abundant Life Christian Center is to lead individuals to Jesus Christ. Our mission is to help those in need, heal the broken hearted, and to bring restoration to the total man; spirit, soul, and body. Helping individuals to discover their God-Given purpose and walk in their true Kingdom Identity. Our mission is to equip the saints in reaching their full potential by teaching them how to apply Kingdom Principles for daily living, while helping them grow into full spiritual maturity.
